Getting Started with WebObjects Development Tools

All-In-One Turn-Key Installer (Mac OS X Only)

This incredibly useful installer contains Eclispe, the WOLips plugin, Project WOnder Frameworks and many other tools and examples useful for WebObjects developers just getting started, or just getting started with WOLips.

Manual Installation

This method is more work, but gives you total control over what you install. This is a good place to start if you already have Eclipse installed.

Subprojects

  • WOLips : WOLips is a set of Eclipse tools for WebObjects development. The easiest way to install WOLips is to follow the steps in the Install WOLips with Eclipse Update Manager tutorial.  If this is your first time using WOLips, this is the recommended method for installing WOLips.
  • WOProject-Ant : provides a way to build WebObjects applications and standalone Java launchers with Ant.
  • WOProject-Maven : provides a way to build WebObjects applications and standalone Java launchers with Maven.
